Creative Statement
LaPorte has a vision for the future. He is studying New Media to understand how Web 2.0 and the coming Web 3.0 both work, and so he can potentially get a jump start on coming technology to make something amazing. He is inspired by the works of Rooster Teeth Productions, and has dreams of working there. Fascinations of LaPorte include lighting and sound design for theatre, singing, broadcasting systems, government, computer engineering, culinary arts and a rising sport called extreme napping. Potential future projects include the “social network to end all social networks,” a DJ project, working on EAS systems, videography work, getting politically involved, developing interactive media systems for the Federal Government and improving and standardizing the web services of the University of Maine System.
